Hamilton County, TN - The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office has been requested by Hamilton County District Attorney General Neal Pinkston to serve as the lead investigative agency into the Officer Involved Shooting that occurred earlier tonight on Rossville Boulevard and to report their findings back to his office.

Chattanooga Police Chief David Roddy was on scene and has made a formal statement to members of the local media. Furthermore, Chief Roddy offered his assistance and full cooperation to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office as our investigative personnel begin to investigate this incident.

Questions pertaining to this incident should be directed to the Hamilton County District Attorney's Office.

Any further details of this investigation will be released through either the Hamilton County District Attorney's Office or through the HCSO pending approval from District Attorney General Neal Pinkston.
