Joint Investigation Yields Numerous Car Burglary Arrests
Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office – Collegedale Police Department Investigation Yields Numerous Car Theft and Burglary Arrests
Hamilton County, TN - During the month of July 2017, an abnormally high number of burglaries, stolen vehicles and thefts from vehicles occurred in the East Brainerd, Collegedale and Ooltewah areas of the county.
An investigation into the reported incidents, with a combined total loss in excess of $120,000.00, was conducted by detectives with the HCSO and Collegedale Police Department. The lengthy investigation revealed that a majority of these crimes were committed by a small group of associated individuals. The information and evidence gained through the investigation was presented to the Hamilton County Grand Jury and a multiple count indictment was returned on the following individuals:
Eddie Jevon Henderson
(20 y/o) was charged with a total of 22 counts of the following offenses; Aggravated Burglary, Burglary, Theft under $1,000.00, Theft over $1,000.00, and Theft over $10,000.00
Tevin Quardell Westmoreland
(19 y/o) was charged with a total of 19 counts of the following offenses; Burglary, Theft under $1,000.00, Theft over $1,000.00, and Theft over $10,000.00
Edward Gawayne Taylor
(19 y/o) was charged with a total of 6 counts of the following offenses; Burglary, Theft under $1,000.00, Theft over $1,000.00, and Theft over $10,000.00
Tayvon Marquez Nelson
(18 y/o) was charged with a total of 21 counts of the following offenses; Aggravated Burglary, Burglary, Theft under $1,000.00, Theft over $1,000.00, and Theft over $10,000.00
Quinzell Beasley
(18 y/o) was charged with a total of 22 counts of the following offenses; Aggravated Burglary, Burglary, Theft under $1,000.00, Theft over $1,000.00, and Theft over $10,000.00
Roderick Jerome Holloway
(20 y/o) was charged with a total of 5 counts of the following offenses; Burglary, Theft under $1,000.00, and Theft over $10,000.00
Malachi Billups
(19 y/o) was charged with a total of 4 counts of the following offenses; Burglary, Theft under $1,000.00, Theft over $1,000.00, and Theft over $10,000.00
A juvenile offender was charged with a total of 13 counts of the following offenses; Burglary, Theft under $1,000.00, Theft over $1,000.00, and Theft over $10,000.00.
At this time, Quinzell Beasley and Edward Gawayne Taylor have been arrested and booked into the Hamilton County Jail.
Eddie Jevon Henderson and Tevin Quardell Westmoreland are in custody in the Marion County on similar offenses.
Arrests are pending on the remaining individuals.
