Hamilton County, TN – Earlier this morning, at approximately 9:55 am, the mother of a Soddy Daisy Middle School student arrived at the school to dismiss her daughter early. During class change, the mother observed her daughter and another child enter a nearby bathroom, where she then proceeded to hear the two students begin fighting inside the bathroom.

The mother then entered the bathroom and joined in the fight. The School Resource Officer was alerted and immediately responded, taking all three parties into custody.

The mother was transported to the Hamilton County Jail where she was charged with Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct. She was also given a Criminal Trespass warning to stay off the school property.

The two female juveniles have been petitioned to appear in Juvenile Court for Disorderly Conduct.

Due to attempting to protect the identity of the juvenile, the name of the mother is not being released.

The Soddy Daisy Police Department was also notified of the incident and responded.
