Hamilton County, TN - Last night, the Hamilton County Optimist Club posthumously awarded the prestigious Hamilton County Officer of the Year Award to Detective Eddie Sledge for his service to the HCSO and the citizens of Hamilton County. Detective Sledge’s wife, April, and their two daughters, JC, and Kendall, were on hand to accept the award.

Several of Detective Sledge’s family and friends were on hand for the ceremony. Also on hand for the ceremony was Sheriff Jim Hammond, Investigative Services Captain Chuck Gaston, Criminal Investigations Division Lieutenant

Chris Harvey, and many of his HCSO colleagues.

The HCSO would like to thank the Hamilton County Optimist Club for recognizing our personnel for their

service and sacrifice.
