Update - Search Efforts for James Michael Farris
The HCSO continues to work with our local law enforcement partners to collectively investigate all leads to locate and arrest James Michael Farris. Currently, there is no credible evidence to lead law enforcement to believe that James Michael Farris remained in the area of the 1000 block of Sequoyah Access Road.
The HCSO’s public safety message last night recommending residents in the area of the 1000 block of Sequoyah Access Road to remain indoors has been lifted, however we encourage all residents in the area to remain vigilant and be aware of their surroundings.
James Michael Farris is aware that he is a wanted suspect and is strongly encouraged to immediately turn himself in to law enforcement.
Earlier this morning, James Michael Farris was added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Most Wanted and there is currently a reward of $2,500 being offered for information leading to his arrest.
Any questions regarding the active investigation into the whereabouts of James Michael Farris or the charges to which he is wanted should be directed to the Chattanooga Police Department.
