HSCO Announces the Graduation of Two New D.A.R.E. Instructors
Hamilton County, TN - Sheriff Austin Garrett proudly announces the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office now has two new D.A.R.E. Instructors. School Resource Deputies’ Mady Hazen and Ian Morrow graduated from the rigorous 80-hour D.A.R.E. Instructors Training Course in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, on Friday, June 21st.
"I am proud of Deputies’ Hazen and Morrow for becoming certified D.A.R.E. instructors, showcasing exemplary leadership and dedication to our agency and the students of our county. Their certification enables us to extend our program to Normal Park Upper School and Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences (CSAS). As sheriff, my vision prioritizes the safety and well-being of our community's children. D.A.R.E. is integral to this vision, equipping our youth with essential skills to navigate peer challenges and instilling crucial character values," stated Sheriff Austin Garrett
Since re-instituting the HCSO D.A.R.E. Program in Fall 2022, we now have five certified instructors and over 500 students have graduated county-wide.
