HCSO Chief of Staff Ron Bernard Graduates Prestigious 10 Project

07/22/2024

Hamilton County, TN – On July 22, 2024, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Chief of Staff Ron Bernard graduated from the prestigious executive leadership training program entitled the 10 Project.

The 10 Project is a management-based program created by The Brock Center and is designed for individuals in executive leadership positions. It is taught by experienced business leaders and educators throughout our community working or specializing in a multitude of disciplines from the public, private, and non-profit sectors. This rigorous and fast-paced program consists of (10) mentors and (10) mentees and is comprised of (10) leadership-based modules taught over a (10) month period.

“As a former graduate of the 10 Project, I can personally attest to the importance of this leadership course and how the principles it teaches mentees can systematically foster and sustain an environment of higher learning and professional development within an organization. A strong leader knows they do not operate in a silo and true leadership begins when you put your team and your organization’s priorities first and lead by example,” stated Sheriff Austin Garrett.

With the completion of this program, Chief of Staff Bernard will become a Brock Fellow and joins a distinct group of graduates who are making an important impact in our community and the organizations they serve by leading others based on a foundation of values-based principles.

"As Sheriff, it is essential for our agency to support professional development opportunities for our people. The principles taught by this course furthers my vision for cultivating strong leaders within the HCSO and our community. I commend Chief of Staff Bernard for completing the 10 Project. The principles and values he has learned, along with the relationships he has built with his fellow mentees and mentors, will enhance his leadership within the agency and our community. I look forward to future members of our agency participating in this valuable leadership program," stated Sheriff Austin Garrett.

Chief of Staff Ron Bernard is the third individual from the HCSO to graduate from the 10 Project, following Sheriff Austin Garrett and Chief Deputy Spencer Daniels.

Please join with us as we congratulate Chief of Staff Ron Bernard on his completion of the 10 Project and thank him for his service to this agency and our community.
