HCSO Arrests Student in Connection with Threat Against Brown Middle School
Hamilton County, TN - On Monday, August 26, 2024, at approximately 09:30 AM, the School Resource Deputy assigned to Brown Middle School was made aware of a possible threat of mass violence that had been made by a student.
During the investigation, the HCSO SRD questioned the student's teacher and several other witnesses who had heard the student make a threat of mass violence.
By promptly responding to the possible threat, the HCSO SRD was able to quickly identify and arrest the student, thereby mitigating any potential harm or further disruption to classes.
The juvenile was taken into custody and physically transported to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center for processing and charged with violating TCA 39-16-517 (Threat of Mass Violence).
