Update to Previous Press Release from August 30, 2024

Hamilton County, TN – On September 6, 2024, Detectives with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit obtained evidence that indicated that the passenger of the vehicle involved in a pursuit on August 29th, Jasmine Harris, was not only a passenger during the high-speed pursuit in the vehicle driven by her husband Randy Harris, but also actively participated in shooting at a Sheriff’s Deputy.

HCSO Detectives obtained arrest warrants and Jasmine was taken into custody without incident.

Jasmine Harris was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center where she was charged with the following:

- Attempted First Degree Murder

- Conspiracy to Commit First-Degree Murder

- Felony Reckless Endangerment

- Unlawful Carrying or Possession of a Firearm
