A joint investigation conducted by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and Chattanooga Police Department involving numerous vehicle burglaries, resulted in the arrest of Johnny Clayton Jenkins age 35. Mr. Jenkins was picked up earlier today at his residence and charged with Burglary of an Auto, Theft, Vandalism and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card.

The vehicle burglaries took place in and around the Hixson, Dallas Bay and Soddy Daisy areas of Hamilton County. Investigators involved stated the suspect would enter parking lots and break out the window of vehicles where the owner left expensive items such as electronics and purses in full view. Detective Higdon, HCSO and Detective Topmisek, CPD have advised the investigation is on-going and additional charges are pending against Mr. Jenkins. They will also contact potential victims as the case develops.
