HCSO Training & Professional Development Unit Hosts Advanced Traffic Crash Investigation School
Hamilton County, TN - For the last two weeks, beginning October 28th, the HCSO Training and Professional Development Unit has hosted an Advanced Traffic Crash Investigation School for nineteen law enforcement personnel from across the state.
The course was instructed by the Tennessee Highway Safety Office. During this rigorous and in-depth eighty-hour training course, students learned a high degree of technical expertise in the field of crash investigations.
Topics covered included but were not limited to, speed calculations from kinetic energy, conservation of momentum calculations, and advanced photography techniques. Prior to being allowed to attend this course, students had to have already successfully completed an eighty-hour At Scene Crash Investigation Course.
This class was offered free of charge to all attending agencies.
Among the nineteen graduates were five Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Deputies:

• Deputy Ricardo Santiago
