HCSO Provides Traffic Safety for County's Official Christmas Tree Delivery
This morning, the HCSO provided traffic control and scene safety while crews delivered our County’s new Christmas Tree to adorn our Courthouse lawn this Christmas. This stunning Fraser Fir, supplied by Weaver Tree Farm, is the largest tree to be displayed on the courthouse lawn to date. With a retail base in Chattanooga, Weaver Tree Farms have been providing Christmas trees to families and communities throughout our region for almost 40 years.
This year's tree comes from West Jefferson, North Carolina, a region severely impacted by Hurricane Helene.
The tree’s origin is especially significant because our citizens and our local public safety agencies throughout Hamilton County have been very supportive of our North Carolina neighbors in their time of need. This is evident by the hand-written statement on the base of the tree stating, “Hamilton County – We Are NC Strong.”
Please join us on Tuesday, November 26th at the Historic Hamilton County Courthouse at 4:00 pm for the formal Tree Lighting Ceremony to see this beautiful tree adorned with lights and join the family-friendly festivities.
