HCSO Hosts Basic Criminal Investigation School
Hamilton County, TN - The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Training & Professional Development Unit is proud to announce the graduation of nineteen law enforcement personnel who attended a (40) hour Basic Criminal Investigation School this past week.
This class was hosted and instructed by Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Instructors free of charge to law enforcement personnel from around the East Tennessee region.
During this intense school, students received instruction in multiple investigative disciplines, including death investigations, interview and interrogation techniques, child abuse, and cybercrimes. The unit had a special guest instructor this week when Dr. Steven Cogswell, the Hamilton County Medical Examiner, presented a presentation on death investigations.
This class is an example of how your sheriff's office continues to lead the way by investing in our deputies and our law enforcement partners across the state by providing high-quality training to help them meet the public safety needs of their community.
