The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was called to 1712 Crabtree Road this morning at approximately 8:30 a.m. on an assault. When the Deputies arrived on the scene they found the victim, who is the ex-wife of the suspect, David Wayne Branum had been physically assaulted. The suspect fled from the scene prior to police arrival and an extensive search of the area using K-9 search dogs proved unsuccessful.

David Wayne Branum is a white male, 5’ 8” weighing 170 lbs. no clothing description at this time and is on foot. Mr. Branum has been charged with Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Assault stemming from this incident and has other unrelated warrants on file.
