A call for assistance was received by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office earlier today requesting deputies respond to 13020 McGill Road on a burglary. When deputies arrived at the address and spoke with the victim, who advised he left his home and was gone for approximately thirty minutes. When he returned home, he noticed his rifle was missing along with a pistol. He further advised that when he left, his daughter and granddaughter both were asleep in the home.

Detectives were called to the address and as the investigation progressed, information was found that a next door neighbor, Steven Harvey was seen leaving the burglarized home with the missing weapons. Mr. Harvey was located and charged with Aggravated Burglary and Theft of Property and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

The investigation is on-going and other charges may be pending.
