Washington Alternative School student charged with a weapon
This afternoon at approximately 2:15 p.m. during school dismissal at Orchard Knob Middle School, School Resource Officer Deputy Breeland Kilgore received information that a student possibly had a weapon on campus. The student was pointed out and Deputy Kilgore approached him and requested he place his hands on his head. The student started to comply but then started reaching for his pocket and was again ordered to place his hands on his head. He was taken into custody and during a pat down, a clip loaded with one round was found in his right pocket and a .380 weapon with one round in the chamber was found in his left pocket.
The juvenile male, who was a student at Washington Alternative School was arrested and charged with Unlawful Carrying a Weapon on School Property and Criminal Trespass.
