Law Enforcement Coverage provided by HCSO
Deputy Chief Ron Parson and Captain Lynn Triplett are releasing that on April 7, 2011 starting at 8:00 a.m., the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office assisted by other local supporting agencies, will assume Law Enforcement Services for the Chattanooga Police Department while their staff attends the Funeral Services for Sergeant Tim Chapin.
The officer’s primary responsibility will be answering service calls and providing a safe atmosphere for the citizens of Chattanooga. Supporting law enforcement agencies who will be assisting in this are as follows: Collegedale Police Department, Soddy Daisy Police Department, Red Bank Police Department, Signal Mountain Police Department, Lookout Mountain Police Department, East Ridge Police Department, Hamilton County Park Rangers and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).
Captain William Johnson will also provide investigative assistance for any major crime reported during this time.
These steps have been taken to assure citizens that a high level of police protection will be maintained throughout the entire city and county during this time of sadness.
