On Saturday, November 26th, 2011, at approximately 7:00 PM, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office responded to 8532 Dallas Oaks Drive in Hixson, Tennessee on a reported explosion. Upon arrival, deputies located what appeared to be evidence of a methamphetamine lab explosion in the garage area of the residence.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division and Narcotic’s Division responded to process the scene and gather evidence. Detectives determined the explosion was the result of a methamphetamine “Shake & Bake” lab exploding.

Steven Christopher Brannan was charged with Initiating Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was given a bond of $75,000. He is facing a December 13, 2011, 8:30 a.m. court date.
