Speeding ticket leads to Drug Arrest
On April 10, 2013, Deputy Greg Brown was conducting speed checks in the 5400 block of Highway 58. He stopped a silver Acura operated by James Seal to deliver a speeding ticket and found that he had an active warrant on file. The traffic stop for speeding ended with a large amount of drugs being found. Deputy Brown seized five bags containing suspected cocaine, three bags of suspected marijuana, 301 pills, drug paraphernalia, cash and a sawed off shot gun.
James Seal was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance for Resale, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail for processing and was placed under a $40,000 dollar bond with a May 10, 2013 court date.
