Party who ran from Deputies Arrested
While on routine patrol earlier today, Deputy Frankie Bates with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a 1990 Ford Ranger Truck in the 5300 block of Sawyer Road for a light violation. The driver of the truck, Bobby Nelson age 28 refused to stop and a short pursuit took place before he stopped and ran from his vehicle. A perimeter was set up around the immediate area where the suspect was hiding. Deputy Hank Ritter along with his K-9 partner Ubs found the suspect hiding at a location on Gardenhire road. He was taken into custody and charged with Felony Evading, Driving on Suspended license and Light Law Violation. It was also found that Mr. Nelson had a warrant on file for Violation of Probation.
This incident was successful because of the professional actions of the Deputies involved, who worked together as a team to complete the search and finalize the arrest.
