Arrest on Vehicle Burglaries
On February 2, 2009 at approximately 1:00 a.m. Deputy Mickey Rountree was patrolling the Shoreline subdivision and noticed a vehicle that appeared to be suspicious. The vehicle was parked in the cul de sac of 9700 Shoreline with the lights on. When approached by the Deputy, the driver, Genese McClellan starting driving away.
Deputy Rountree stopped the vehicle and while talking with Ms. McClellan, noticed a large amount of tools and other items lying in the back seat. The investigation conducted by Deputies Rountree, Donnie Myrick, Jeff Haley with the assistance of Detective Roger Brown ended with the arrest of Genese McClellan.
The Deputies found that four vehicles in the neighborhood had been entered and property taken from all four. The total value of the stolen property was listed at $1000.00 and returned to the owners.
Genese McClellan was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail, charged with four counts of Burglary of an Automobile and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
