Gann Arrested for Animal Cruelty
On Sunday, May 17th at approximately 7:30PM, deputies were dispatched to 10707 Dolly Pond Road. The reporting person stated that they observed a neighbor walk over and throw a small white dog into the area where a pit bull was located. The pit bull immediately attacked and killed the small dog. As a result of the statement given to deputies investigating the case, the subject was identified as Joseph Eugene Gann. Mr.Gann left the scene in a red pickup following the incident. While deputies awaited the arrival of the Humane Society, Mr. Gann returned to the area. He was then arrested and charged with DUI second offense, possession of Schedule II drugs, unlawful removal of a vehicle's registration, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon and cruelty to animals.
