Hamilton County, TN – Earlier this morning, Hamilton County Sheriff, Jim Hammond, Deputy Chief of Law Enforcement, Bill Johnson, Uniformed Services Captain, Mark King, presented Patrol Deputy Patrick Miller with a commendation and challenge coin for his efforts to locate an armed, female, vehicle theft suspect after having fired shots at a home owner on Maplewood Drive.

Also on hand for the commendation ceremony were Deputy Miller's direct supervisors’, Lieutenant Robert Starnes, and newly promoted Lieutenant, Brian McDowell as well as Public Information Officer, Matt Lea.

At the commendation ceremony, Sheriff Hammond stated, "Deputy Miller exemplifies the role of a dedicated public servant and his service is in keeping with the highest standards of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office."
