HCSO Corrections Division Hosts Cadet Academy Graduation
Hamilton County, TN – On Tuesday, November 14th, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Division hosted a Cadet Academy Graduation for six new Corrections Academy graduates.
These new graduates will fill several empty positions within the Hamilton County Jail and will help to raise personnel levels closer to regular duty standards. Each graduate completed 240 hours of training set forth by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Training Academy and have met all requirements of the Tennessee Correctional Institute and the American Correctional Association.
Corrections Officers serve numerous roles in the Hamilton County Jail including inmate safety and security, transportation to and from court, and inmate booking.
The graduates of Cadet Academy #43 are as follows:
Corrections Deputy Marina Wilkerson
Corrections Deputy Alex Genovesi
Corrections Deputy Andrew Howard
Corrections Deputy Mark Potter
Corrections Deputy Anthony Douglas
Corrections Deputy Rex Sorenson
This Graduating Class President was Corrections Deputy Marina Wilkerson and the award for Academic Achievement was presented to Corrections Deputy Rex Sorenson.
The Honorable Judge Robert Philyaw administered the official oath of office.
On hand for the event were numerous family and friends of the graduating cadets, HCSO Corrections personnel, and members of the HCSO Command Staff.
