Hamilton County, TN - Yesterday afternoon, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and local emergency services personnel were notified by the family of seventy-three year old James “Frank” Franklin Gray that he was missing in the vicinity of the 10200 block of Snow Hill Road.

Local law enforcement, EMS, and 1st Responders immediately began to search the area for Mr. Gray. Search efforts lasted late into the night and resumed early this morning.

Late this afternoon, emergency personnel found the body of Mr. Gray deceased.

Mr. Gray’s body was located in a wooded area near his home with what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Mr. Gray’s body has been transferred to the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the exact cause and manner of death.

The investigation into the death is ongoing and there will be no additional information released at this time.

No on-scene interviews will be given.
