Hamilton County, TN - On Thursday, March 8, 2018, Sabrena Lynn Laquatra (Age 37), was taken into custody on an indictment for Second Degree Murder. This charge was related to the June 2017 overdose death of Tyler Hillian which occurred on Lakeshore Drive, in Chattanooga, TN.

The investigation into the death of Tyler Hillian was investigated by members of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Special Operations Division. The Medical Examiner’s Report indicated that James T. Hillian died from a lethal amount of Fentanyl in his system. Evidence collected during the course of the investigation identified Laquatra as the person who provided Hillian with the illegal drugs.

On February 27, 2018, agents with Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Special Operations Division presented their findings to the Hamilton County Grand Jury, which resulted in a true bill charging Laquatra with Second Degree Murder.

This Fentanyl related overdose death is the first of this type of case to be brought before the Hamilton County Grand Jury. This indictment sends a strong message to drug dealers that they are going to be held accountable for their actions.
