The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will be taking part in “Hands Across the Border” that will be held on September 2, 2009. Sobriety checkpoints will be set up at the Georgia-Tennessee borders and the Sheriff’s Office will conduct sobriety checkpoints on the same date, time and area. Additional checkpoints will be conducted during this time frame throughout Hamilton County and surrounding municipalities.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will have increased saturation throughout the Labor Day weekend. Deputies will be on the lookout for drunk and impaired drivers as well as other traffic related offenses, to include seat belt violations.
