Hamilton County, TN – Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are offering an update regarding the death investigation involving the body located off Old Dayton Pike on April 17th.

The victim in this case has been identified as Micheal Scott Mathews, age 43. (Please note, the victim’s name is spelled correctly according to his driver’s license).

The cause and manner of death has yet to be determined by the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office.

This remains an active, ongoing investigation.
