HCSO Patrol Division Graduates Two New Deputies
Hamilton County, TN – Earlier this morning during a graduation ceremony in Blount County, Tennessee, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office graduated two new patrol deputies who will now begin their Field Training as certified Sheriff’s Deputies.
To help personnel be trained to meet the demands of this agency, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with the Blount County Sheriff’s Office Training Center to send our recruits to their academy for training.
During today’s ceremony, newly certified deputies Nick Monroe and Peyton Wilga walked across the stage to accept their diploma in front of their family, friends, and colleagues. On hand for the ceremony was Chief Deputy Austin Garrett, Deputy Chief Mark King, and several members of HCSO Command.
Deputy Monroe and Deputy Wilga began their career as Correctional Officers in the HCSO Corrections Division.
Chief Deputy Austin Garrett stated, “Today’s graduation marks an important milestone in the lives and careers of these two deputies as they graduate basic law enforcement school in Blount County.” He further added, “During their time at the academy, they have exemplified our agency’s values which are honesty, integrity, and character, and we look forward to them serving our community as newly certified HCSO deputies.”
