Traffic fatality on highway 58
Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a traffic crash that occurred early this morning at approximately 2:36 a.m. in the 9700 block of 58 Highway. On arrival, Deputies found that a single vehicle ran off the roadway, going through a yard and crashing into some trees. The vehicle was burning and Deputies and by-standers attempted to remove the driver but due to heavy smoke and flames, were not able to approach the car.
The Highway 58 Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire. The driver was removed and transported to Erlanger Medical Center by Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services. The female driver was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
Identification of the victim is being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin.
Although alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, the investigation is still on-going by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division.
