HCSO Patrol Deputy Awarded Commendation
Hamilton County, TN – On Thursday, October 7, 2021, Chief Deputy Austin Garrett presented a commendation and sheriff’s challenge coin to Patrol Deputy Charlene Cook for going above and beyond the call of duty.
Deputy Cook was awarded a commendation for her efforts to locate and apprehend three suspects wanted for committing organized retail thefts at numerous locations in Chattanooga on February 6, 2020. In addition to locating the suspects, Deputy Cook continued her investigation which also yielded a felony amount of drugs, execute five warrants, recover numerous stolen high value items, and the ability to successfully close several open cases.
The actions and professionalism shown by Deputy Charlene Cooke exemplifies the role of a dedicated public servant and are in keeping with the highest standards of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. Accordingly, a Certificate of Commendation and Sheriff’s Challenge Coin are awarded to Deputy Charlene Cook.
