Signal Mountain Police Chief Presents HCSO Personnel with Commendations

Hamilton County, TN – On Wednesday, February 2, 2022, Signal Mountain Police Department Chief Mike Williams presented commendations to thirteen Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office personnel for their efforts to support his agency with a homicide investigation on December 29, 2021.

On December 29, 2021, Signal Mountain Police Department personnel were dispatched to a residence on Scarlet Maple Court for the report of a drug overdose. Upon arrival, officers found a male deceased at the residence. Signal Mountain Police personnel then requested assistance from the HCSO to process and investigate the scene.

“On behalf of the Signal Mountain Police Department I would like to offer our appreciation to the deputies and detectives who assisted us with the homicide investigation that occurred in our community on December 29th. HCSO personnel responded immediately upon our request and many of you in this room stayed with us for several hours helping Detective Randy Poland process the crime scene,” stated Signal Mountain Police Chief Mike Williams. “We work with the Sheriff's Office on a daily basis and this collaborative effort is a prime example of the great working relationship our two departments share,” he further noted.
