HCSO responded to SWAT call
Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to 4823 Melton Lane at approximately 11:15 p.m. last night on a threats complaint. When Deputies talked to the complainant, it was found that a family member identified as Bob Freeman, who lives at 9603 Ocoee Street, made threats to come to their home and harm his family members and then himself.
Deputies responded to 9603 Ocoee Street to make contact with Mr. Freeman, and found he was armed with a weapon and that he also had several other weapons inside the residence. It was also discovered that he has serious health issues and was alleged to be a heavy drinker.
Mr. Freeman would come out onto the front porch of his residence and wave the weapon around in the direction of deputies and then place it to his head. He continued to make threats directed at law enforcement and to harm himself. During this time deputies talked to the suspect, distracting him while others came from behind him, taking him into custody. The suspect was transported to Memorial Hospital to be checked for any medical issues he may have.
There were several weapons found in the residence that were seized and secured in the Property section of the H.C.S.O. Warrants were obtained charging Mr. Freeman with Aggravated Assault and Threats.
