Hamilton County, TN – Earlier this morning, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Information Systems Lead Network Specialist Adam Marthaler conducted a training on Cyber Security Awareness for the faculty of Chattanooga State Technical Community College.
The event, hosted by the professional and support staff of Chattanooga State, offered educators an overview of cyber security and how to understand and recognize malicious and potential threats to their network systems and programs.
During today’s presentation, Adam discussed the basics of cyber security including how cyber-attacks can occur and most importantly, how they can be prevented. He also discussed how cyber-attacks are changing with new technology and how viruses, ransomware, and other threats are attempting to access, change, or destroy sensitive information belonging to individuals, businesses, and non-profits.
