This afternoon at approximately 4:30 p.m., Deputy Mickey Rountree was traveling in the 1000 block of W. Boy Scout Road when he observed a w/m walking towards him on the shoulder. When the party saw the police car he stepped off the road and started in the direction of the woods. Deputy Rountree stopped the marked car and requested I.D. and the party bolted, running towards the woods.

The party jumped into the creek and swam to the far side, going into the wooded area. A perimeter was initiated and a K-9 was called to the scene to assist in the location of the subject. A short time later, Deputy Rountree and Corporal Jamie Fields heard noises in the woods and then observed the party hiding in a pile of brush. He was identified as Jonathan Andrew Havron age 41, and was placed in custody with no further incident.

It was found that the party had outstanding warrants both in the City of Red Bank and Hamilton County. He made the statement to the officers, he knew he had warrants and that is why he tried to flee. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
