Robbery suspects from Georgia arrested in Hamilton County
A robbery that took place at Walgreens pharmacy in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georigia on March 1, 2010 around 7:15 p.m. resulted in a pursuit that ended in Hamilton County, Tennessee and two parties being arrested.
The Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office spotted the suspect vehicle, which was described as a 1994 grayish/blue Toyota Camry on Dietz road in Catoosa County and attempted to make a stop. The vehicle fled onto the interstate north bound and entered Tennessee. The fleeing parties continued on and left the interstate onto Highway 58. During this time the male suspect fired his weapon at law enforcement at least two times. Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies used spike strips to stop the suspect vehicle on Jewell Road. Both suspects attempted to flee the scene but were captured by law enforcement.
The suspect vehicle was found to be reported stolen. A handgun along with a large amount of drugs were found inside the vehicle. Both the male and female suspect were in possession of a large amount of cash.
The male suspect was identified as Alex Sauseda H/M age 29 and the female suspect is Jaime Patton/Steele w/f age 27. They were transported to the Hamilton County Jail and charged with Theft over $1000, three counts of Felony Possession of Controlled Substance for Resale. The male subject was also charged with Carrying a Dangerous Weapon while she was additional charged with Accessory after the fact. Both parties have other charges pending as well as holds placed by law enforcement authorities from Georgia and South Carolina.
