HCSO Deputies Involved in Pursuit of Suspect from Rossville, Georgia
Hamilton County, TN – On Monday, March 18, 2024, at approximately 1:32 am, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies were notified of a 2013 white Dodge Durango that had previously evaded the Rossville Police Department.
At approximately 2:06 am, a Hamiton County Sheriff’s Office deputy observed the suspect vehicle traveling North on Dayton Boulevard. The deputy followed the vehicle until it pulled into a residence located at 309 Sims Drive where he attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle then drove through the yard and traveled back down Sims Drive to Dayton Boulevard where a pursuit would ensue.
The pursuit would cover numerous roads before coming to an end near the 1300 block of Chamberlain Avenue where deputies would take the driver of the vehicle, Printice Barnett into custody.
Barnett was transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident where he was booked on the following charges:
• Fugitive from Justice - TCA 40-9-103
• Felony Evading Arrest - TCA 39-16-603
• Simple Possession - TCA 39-17-418
• Reckless Driving - TCA 55-10-205
• Traffic Control Device - TCA 55-8-110
• Driving of Revoked Driver’s License - TCA 55-50-504
Additional charges are pending from the City of Rossville Police Department.
