HCSO located Meth Lab at 2302 E. 19th St.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division at the request of East Ridge Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) responded to 2302 E. 19th Street yesterday afternoon at approximately 6:00 p.m. on an alleged Methamphetamine lab.
When entry was made to the residence, what was described as one of the biggest meth labs in this area was found. According to detectives on the scene the house was filled with items used to manufacture meth to include: coleman fuel, acid, liquid heat, lye, draino, ephedrine along with bottles and glassware. As the scene was large, assistance was requested from Chattanooga Police Department Narcotics division, Red Bank Police, Soddy Daisy Police and the Lookout Mountain Judicial Task Force. A contracted hazardous material company was called to assist in the scene cleanup.
Timothy Johnson age 34 was arrested last night in connection with the methamphetamine lab. He was charged with the Promotion, Initiation and Manufacturing of Methamphetamine, other charges are pending.
