Three Brainerd High Students arrested
At approximately 1:30 p.m. today, a call was received by the School Resource Officers assigned to Brainerd High School regarding a suspicious vehicle parked across the street from the school on Larchmont Drive. A white Pontiac Sunfire was found and occupied with three students from Brainerd High School. Upon checking with school authorities, it was found that all three students were absent without permission from school.
Further investigation by Deputy Denise Short turned up a loaded .32 caliber handgun located inside the vehicle. All three parties were charged with Carrying a Dangerous Weapon. As two of the students were juveniles, they were transported to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center, while the third party, Jermaine Mobley age 18, was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
