UPDATE: HCSO Deputies Respond to Reports of Person Shot on Vulcan Lane

Hamilton County, TN – On Thursday, May 2, 2024, around 7:00 pm, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to reports of a person shot at the 6000 block of Vulcan Lane.

HCSO Investigative Services conducted the investigation into the incident and determined the suspect, Gregory Burnett, had assaulted his son and a neighbor, and the shooting that occurred was an act of self-defense against the suspect.

The suspect, Gregory Burnett, is being charged with:

- Domestic Assault

- Assault
