The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has purchased two On Site 300 radar signs manufactured by Decatur Electronics. The On Site 300 is the finest radar sign on the market today. They have been purchased because traffic safety and efficient traffic management in our community is a high priority. This is an affordable, reliable speed enforcement tool for monitoring and enforcing traffic 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is designed for easy positioning in areas where speeding is a concern or where complaints of speeding has been reported by a particular community or neighborhood.

This traffic device has the capability to provide investigative information to assist traffic investigators in determining if a particular area has a problem. If the traffic device shows a problem, it will give the traffic investigator the ability to determine a time frame when more traffic enforcement is needed. So in effect instead of tying up manpower for hours or days in an area where a problem has been reported, the On Site 300 will be set up. This will allow the traffic investigators to allocate manpower that is needed in other areas of Hamilton County.
