HCSO Responds to Threats Against Red Bank High School, Suspect Arrested

Hamilton County, TN – On September 24th, 2024, around 2:30 pm, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were notified of threats made on social media towards Red Bank High School.

Deputies with the HCSO School Resource Unit, along with agents from Tennessee Homeland Security, responded to a local address to investigate. After an investigation it was determined the suspect, Avery York, had made the threats on TikTok. York was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail & Detention Center without further incident.

The suspect is being charged with:

Threats of Mass Violence at a School (x2)

There is no threat to any of the students or faculty of that school at this time.

At the time of the release the individual was waiting to be booked and no mug shot was available.
