The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 5900 block of Highway 58 yesterday afternoon at approximately 6:00 p.m. on a traffic related incident. On arrival, Traffic Investigator Eddie Sledge found that a 1997 Ford Ranger truck had been traveling south bound on Highway 58 driven by Eric Peace age 49. There were two other passengers inside the truck with a third riding in the truck bed of the vehicle. The passenger riding in the truck bed, Melvin Wooten age 41 fell from the vehicle causing serious injuries. He was transported to Erlanger Hospital.

Eric Peace, the driver of the vehicle was charged with Vehicle Assault and Open Container Law and was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
