The press event held on January 6, 2011 at the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office East Annex to introduce the “Safe Journey” child safety seat program to the citizens of Hamilton County was a huge success. Representatives from all area media outlets were present to meet the three trained employees who are; Rebecca Campbell, Janet Howerton and Sharon Patten. Also present were representatives from the Tennessee Governor’s Highway Safety Program who provided the grant to establish this safety program for the children of Hamilton County.

The media heard from Sheriff Jim Hammond, County Commission members Larry Henry and Chester Bankston as well as the “Safe Journey” program members.
