Shipley and Ledford charged with Burglary
A homeowners quick action as well as law enforcement yesterday morning resulted in the arrest of two males who were charged with Burglary. On January 20, 2011 at approximately 8:15 a.m. a homeowner returned home on Ramsey Town Road only to find a blue Cadillac parked in the driveway. Two white males were observed carrying a flat screen TV out the back door of the residence. When they became aware of the homeowner, they dropped the TV and ran. They then fled the scene in the blue Cadillac.
The homeowner notified law enforcement and provided suspect vehicle description along with the registration information. Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Detectives were dispatched to the area and a short time later observed the suspect vehicle at Mountain View and Snow Hill Road. The vehicle was stopped by Deputies and as the investigation progressed both subjects were identified as Sean Derek Shipley w/m age 24 and Tyler Ross Ledford w/m age 25. Both parties were charged with Aggravated Burglary, Theft over $1,000 and Possession of Burglary Tools. The suspect vehicle was seized as evidence of the crime.
Shipley and Ledford were transported to the Hamilton County Jail and booked on the charges of Aggravated Burglary, Theft over $1000 and Possession of Burglary Tools. Bond on Shipley was set at $11, 500, while bond for Ledford was set at $16,500.
