Death of Deputy Chief Richard Shockley
Hamilton County Sheriff's Office has suffered a great loss with the death of Deputy Chief Richard Shockley who passed away this morning at 5:00 at his home with members of his family by his side. His position and performance as HCSO chief of corrections since 2008 has earned him the respect of supervision and all fellow officers.
The chief’s short but arduous battle against cancer, which began this past August never caused his fight or his faith in God to waiver. He has been an inspiration to all of us here at the HCSO. Everyone's thoughts and prayer for his family are much appreciated.
