Missing Alzeheimer's Patient
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance from the media in locating a elderly male party reported missing by his family earlier today. The victim, David Vandergriff left his home this morning at approximately 8:00 a.m. going to a friend’s home to return a chain saw. When his family had not heard from him by 11:30 a.m. a call was made to the friends home who advised they had not seen him.
The victims family called police to report him missing and further advised he suffers from Alzheimer’s and is a diabetic. He is described as a w/m age 75, 5’ 11” weighing 200 lbs. with green eyes and grey hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a blue jean jacket (shirt color not known) and driving a 2007 Red Ford Truck F-150 Tag 311-MYC.
The victim has been added to NCIC as a missing person and further evidence has shown that he may have headed west towards the Nashville area of Tennessee. Anyone who has contact with Mr. Vandergriff or knowledge of his whereabouts is requested to contact the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office at 423-622-0022.
