At the request of Chief Tony Reavley the following is being released regarding a structure fire reported early this morning at approximately 2:30 a.m. at 7334 Sterling Drive.

The initial call was received by Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department, who responded to find the 1900 square foot two story residence on fire. Information obtained by firefighters is that the residence has been vacant for four years and had no power. The estimated damage/loss has been reported at $130,000.

Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department was assisted at the scene by Soddy Daisy Volunteer Fire Department, Red Bank Fire Department, Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident is under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
