William Stanford charged with Burglaries
On August 5, 2011 at approximately 10:00 a.m. the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office received numerous reports from home owners on Levi road regarding some burglaries. During the investigation, information was received that burglary warrants had been obtained on a William Stanford pertaining to a burglary that occurred on Barker Road earlier that morning. Shortly after that Deputy Mickey Rountree observed the suspect, (Stanford) in the back seat of a vehicle that was traveling slowly on Levi Road. The suspect, William Stanford had on his person suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia found when he was arrested on the outstanding warrant for burglary.
As deputies continued to investigate the reported burglaries on Levi Road, William Stanford’s shoe, backpack (displaying his initials) and stolen property taken from the burglaries was located around the victims homes. During a search of the suspects residence deputies found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, stolen property and cash. All property taken from the reported burglaries was returned to the owners.
William Stanford was charged with: 7108 Levi Road (Attempted Theft), 7111 Levi Road (Attempted Burglary), 7116 Levi Road (Burglary), 7114 Levi Road (Burglary), 7014 Levi Road (Burglary), 605 Barker Road (Aggravated Burglary), 7100 Levi Road (Possession of Marijuana & Drug Paraphernalia), 7033 Levi Road (Possession of Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, Stolen Property.
