Traffic Crash on Sequoyah Access Road
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was called to 1700 Sequoyah Access Road at 12:00 p.m. on a reported traffic crash. When investigators arrived on scene, they found that a 2005 Honda Gold Wing motorcycle had been traveling west bound on Sequoyah Access Road, when the driver of a 2004 F 150 Ford truck pulling from Hamby road onto Sequoyah Access, made contact with the motorcycle.
The operator of the Honda Gold Wing motorcycle lost control, striking a guard rail. Both the operator and a passenger were thrown from the motorcycle and ended up at the bottom of a steep embankment. The operator and passenger of the motorcycle were transported to an area hospital by Life Force, extent of injuries not known at this time. The driver of the Ford F 150 truck was not injured.
The operator of the Honda Gold Wing motorcycle was identified as James Rowden age 43 of Hixson, passenger was a juvenile. Driver of the Ford F 150 truck was identified as Jerry Hunt age 57 of Hixson.
The investigation is continuing by Sergeant David Tittle, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division.
